October 2009 Newsletter

Here I am again.....wondering where the time has gone. I know you're all tired of me complaining about how time is flying past me!!! But it is!!! September and October are busy months for us with birthday parties for 3 daughters and a perspective son-in-law. In fact, our perspective son-in-law (Justin) will become an official son-in-law on October 3, 2009. Yep! Our youngest daughter, Kelly, is getting married in our backyard on 10/3/09. So, if it looks like we are having a wedding in our backyard.....we really are! Pray for good weather!!

COMMUNITY MEETING!!!
OCTOBER 6TH, 2009 7:30P.M. BEACHER'S LODGE

This is the time to NOMINATE BOARD MEMBERS FOR 2010! Please be ready to nominate people that you feel would make a good board member...OR...nominate yourself! Serving on the board is interesting, eye opening and gratifying. It's also very helpful to get new perspectives on the issues pertaining to TBPOA. Charlie Novak and Rose Larsen are the nominating committee this year so they will be contacting people to see if they are interested in being on the board.

WHAT'S NEXT?

COMMUNITY MEETING: NOVEMBER 3RD, 2009 FOR THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS!

This meeting will be a "pitch-in" and will start at 6:00 p.m. We haven't had a "pitch-in" dinner meeting in quite awhile and the election of officers meeting is a perfect time to have one! After a good meal we'll all be ready to vote for board members for the 2010 year.

CORRECTION FOR SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER: Yes.....even Presidents make mistakes! In my last newsletter, I thanked the wrong people for the flowers on the north side of our entrance. Barb Warman, Rose Larsen and Peggy Berrier are the angels who worked to replace the flowers after the last vehicle crashed into the north wall.

Peggy also cuts the grass in the front area. When you see these ladies, thank them for their hard work! Hey! What about offering to help them???

My dream is to someday be able to afford a landscaping company to take care of the front area and give these ladies a break!!!

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:

On September 5, 2009, it was printed in the St. Augustine Record that a convicted sex offender, Charles Edward Foy, was released from jail and has moved in the residence at 6306 Gomez Road.

PAY PAL ACCOUNT

YEAH! Our PAY PAL ACCOUNT is up and running. We had 2 residents pay their 2009 dues in September, 2009 because of the ease in using this new account! If we would have know it encouraged residents to pay their annual dues....we would have set it up years ago!!!

Of course, you can still mail your 2009 dues by using the membership form in the First Coast Community Journal. It's always in the paper somewhere.....but not necessarily near The President's Dock article.

VANDALISM!!

The board heard from a Seychelles resident that on 8/26/09 two people in a dark green or black sedan came out of Treasure Beach and turned North on US1. One of the passengers hurled a bottle of "SoBe Lizard Lava" at the Seychelles sign. Of course the bottle broke and the area had to be cleaned up.

Do I have to explain how inappropriate that is??????

TBPOA WEBSITE:

Don't forget to check out our website! Karen Carter has done a great job of making it easier to find and to use! We even have a blog!! Our website is: http://www.treasurebeachflorida.com

TBPOA RESIDENTS:

I'm happy to report that Charlie Novak, Ron Larsen and Doug Martin are all recovering from their surgeries and doing well!

REMEMBER THESE DATES!!!!!!!

OCTOBER 6TH, 2009 7:30

NOVEMBER 3, 2009 6:00 - PITCH IN DINNER!!!!!

OH YEAH!!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
